Director, Human Resources, The Institute for Personal Development (IPD), Romeoville, IL

Summary Job Description (Draft)

The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for starting up the Human Resources Department for our Mental Health and Functional Medicine Practice.

The Director will be in charge of the administration and coordination of the division. Implementation of the division shall be in line with our values of patient-centered care and fostering positive growth while maintaining work-life balance for our employees and growing the organization. This is a draft job description, and will be collaboratively developed by the selected candidate, the CEO and the HR consultant.

 

Reports to: CEO

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, develop, organize and strategically direct all Human Resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, health benefits, retirements plans, organizational development, HR systems and performance management
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand objectives and analyze workforce needs
  • Recommend and implement improvements for effective talent acquisition and development
  • Support organization design and workflow
  • Develop, interpret and evaluate employee handbook, policies and procedures
  • Ensure policies are enforced in a fair and consistent manner
  • Negotiate health and benefit plans
  • Develop staffing strategies utilizing talent within and outside of the organization
  • Create and post job descriptions, review and evaluate candidates, work with hiring managers to interview; manage all candidate offers and onboarding
  • Continually assess HR programs and efforts to maintain a competitive value
  • Work with payroll for new hires and terminations
  • Develop training programs for staff, including management training
  • Comply with all government reporting requirements utilizing HR systems to come and report dates
  • Provide counsel and guidance to employees concerning any HR issues
  • Advise supervisors in managing performance reviews, issues, legal matters, termination and compensations issues

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of five years of related experience, with progressing responsibilities
  • A minimum of three years’ experience evaluating performance, providing feedback and mentoring staff through counsel and career development
  • Working knowledge of the practices, principals associated with applicated federal, state and local employment and workplace regulations including ADA, FMLA, ERISA and OSHA
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with staff at an all levels, including proven success collaborating with senior leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience interfacing with a broad and diverse audience; including ability to communicate technical information to layperson audiences
  • Strong business partnering and consulting skills and HR acumen with working knowledge of financial skills
  • A strong understanding of needs and ability to act quickly in a decisive and focused manner
  • A self-starter with initiative to research and move forward with ideas and improvements
  • Ability to investigate and analyze data to arrive at validated solutions and action plans
  • HR Department will be located in Romeoville, will also work with staff in other local offices

We are seeking to hire a full-time licensed neuropsychologist to join our growing interdisciplinary private practice.  We offer a collaborative patient-centered treatment in a variety of locations throughout Chicagoland.  We desire an individual who is able to conduct neuropsychological evaluations for children and adults including intellectual assessment, academic functioning, attention and concentration, sensory- motor functioning and learning and memory for the purpose of diagnosing and treating patients within our practice and the communities we serve. If interested the psychologist may also carry a small individual therapy caseload. Psychologists must be licensed and board certified.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Position involves:

  • Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and patient education.
  • Flexible schedule based on individual preference/needs.

  • Must have current psychiatric certification.
  • Must have current State of Illinois Nurse Practitioner license.
