11-12-16 As a compounding pharmacist, we encounter and often recommend many topical medication options. They can work systemically or locally and can often get a better response than oral medications.
Mark Drugs has always worked with our patients and continues to do so to make costs reasonable for our customers.
Topical Analgesics decrease the use of other pain medications and reduce potential side effects.
A recent study shows that after only three months of topical therapy, patients experienced reduced use of opiates by 27.5% for Vicodin like drugs containing hydrocodone, morphine and oxycodone. It showed reduced use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAID’s) by 64.1%. After five months of topical therapy, the reductions were even more pronounced. Not only do these topical pain medications work locally to give relief to muscles and joints, but topical and transdermal medications decrease the amount that goes to the liver and results in less liver stress and potential drug interactions.
Mark Drugs will work with your doctor to come up with topical analgesics that can decrease your pain, improve your overall condition, decrease drug interaction potential, and improve the quality of your heart, lungs and every organ in your body.
