Joyce Azzaline, Clinical Nurse Specialist

Joyce earned a masters in adult psychiatric nursing as a clinical nurse specialist from St. Xavier University in 1985, a masters in health services/health promotion from California College for Health Sciences in 2000, and a doctorate in health science from Nova Southeastern University in 2008.

She has been practicing psychiatric/mental health nursing in various clinical and academic settings for over 30 years. Her specialties include chronic mental illness, anxiety disorders, depression, communication, and aging. She also assists patients with developing healthier relationships by developing their communication skills. Joyce realizes that change is difficult but with therapy and medications this process can be less challenging. Lives can be more productive and enjoyable with a day by day process of setting goals and working on problem-solving issues.
