The FDA has determined that all antibacterial soaps must be removed from retail store shelves a year from now, as there are no benefits over regular soaps and may cause harm. Hand sanitizers and wipes are not included in the antibacterial group if they contain at least 50% alcohol.
My two guests today are Dr. Sarah Zielsdorf, MD and her assistant, Rachel Wuest. Dr. Zielsdorf is an MD doctor of Medicine, is an internist and has a clinical practice applying Functional Medicine. Functional Medicine is a science-based medical approach that assesses and treats underlying illness by seeking root causes of these conditions that initiate or cause chronic inflammation. Dr. Zielsdorf also has a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, a masters degree in public health and microbiology.
